NO CLASS TOMORROW (WED AP. 20)
Hello class, I am sorry but I was delayed in my return from San Francisco. I won't be back in time for class on Wed. this week. If you need to work in the lab it would still be a good idea to come in and work, but I will not be there to assist. I WILL be there next week, so you can either email me with questions or talk to me next week in class if you need assistance. Thanks and sorry.

FINAL PROJECT (main points in red)
Make a work of video art that uses techniques from at least six of the chapters in the book and be ready to explain the techniques. Your project must also meet the following criteria:
1. Highly Polished/Well Crafted
Since this is the final project, there should be no short cuts. This project needs to look as you intend it to look, and cannot be "just good enough". You have been doing "sketches" for each assignment... projects intended mainly to learn the software. This final work should not look unfinished, but should be ready to submit to a gallery, a film festival or some other exhibition. ...Something you could theoretically show in public and be proud of.
2. This Project can NOT be a Commercial
Essentially, this project can be whatever style or subject matter you wish, but it can not take the form of a commercial. It can tell a story or just be an abstract video art piece, but it should not overtly advertise a product or cause, real or imagined. If you have any questions about this, feel free to ask.
3. Time Limit: Between 30 sec. and 2 Minutes
You will be graded on quality, not quantity.
